Message From The President
 |
As your new President, welcome to the first edition of 'Chapter 1' – PSA London's new newsletter.
The Management team and I pride ourselves on the growth of the PSA London community, but it is only because of the enthusiasm shown by our members that we have succeeded in doubling attendance at our monthly meetings in only 6 months!
If you give commitment and dedication to the PSA, you will get it back in so many other ways. We are all there to share, support and give advice.
This is an association of experts and professional speakers – all under one roof! We at PSA London are all about building relationships, so please use Chapter 1 to do so.

We are going from strength to strength and look forward to you joining us on our journey.
To your success...
With kind regards,
Carole Spiers

Pearls From Our Recent Meetings...
We've had both a Chapter meeting AND a National meeting in London over the last couple of months. What a bonus!
On 8th April our new President, Carole Spiers, was elected - and our outgoing President, Graham Jones, conducted the AGM with its usual speed, although I'm still not sure we've beaten Jim Ewan's 3.5 minutes yet!
The latest management team is:
At the 8th April meeting Lesley Morrissey educated all those budding authors on how to get their book from brainstorm to bookshop. Lots of ideas and information - and it's producing results - Ayd Instone turned up to the National meeting, less than a month later, with his book in his hand - already published!
Mike Southon showcased part of a presentation that is still 'work in progress' and got loads of useful feedback. As Mike also presented at the National meeting on 6th May we saw that he had taken some of the feedback to heart - and ditched the dodgy jacket.
Carole Spiers not only became President, but also presented a keynote on 8th April. Inspiration for everyone to Speak and Grow Rich. Carole fills the room when she gets passionate and everyone got the message.
As always our in-house Poet, David Adams treated us to a poem - you can see this below.
A great National Meeting hosted by London took place on May 6th with six speakers speaking on branding.
Six delegates immediately took out membership on the day. So another great event for PSA London.

Carole, a great speech last
weekend, loads of information and presented memorably. I learnt a

Poets' Corner
From selected readings you may have enjoyed at our sessions:
April 2006 The Big Apple
So,
Madam Sec. becomes
Madam Pres.
What was that
About Corporate Responsibility
Graham?
That's two rounds of applause
For Carole and one
For Graham.
Start with an idea
But not with the writing
Look for your book
Before it's there
Make sure you're in it
Make it different
But, the same. Write
For the reader.
Oh the vanity of
Self publishing!
Plan first then write
What word am I repeating?
Marketing works but
You've got to do it
If you want number 3
To be number 2
So, just do it.
Author! Author!
What is the difference
Between talking and
Speaking?
Let's have the feedback
Let's have the coaching

Growing successful people
Through passion
But is it, enough?
Turn your passion into profit
Bring yourself
To make it work
Start here
Set the Blue goals
Set the Yellow goals
Dream the dreams
Dream the strategy
And love what you do;
What are you going to do
Differently?
Define your success
Define your success team
Make a difference for yourself
Make a difference for others
Live your passion and
Make a profit
Set your 1 goal
Make it concrete
Say it - out loud
Say it
Out loud
Let go of your fears
Embrace your success
Energize - your success
Let nothing
Get in the way
As you were
At 5
They can, you can, I can
Soar to success.
With your details at the bottom

Make your dreams become
Your reality
One goal – when you leave;
Go further. Now!! |
